What are they up to?

During swim lessons you can watch the little games that go back and forth between the kids. There is one upmanship constantly going on. I think it has something to do with thinking the parents aren't watching. Well, this one is recording it.

Swim Lessons

When I take the kids to Foss they get their pictures taken. I substituted for Jody this night. Not even sure the reason why. Antonio isn't Crystel's teacher. Though he'd like to be. Great Form!
Ah, and there he is.

Antonio made a cat box for Spirit and Angel. He even wrote their names on the box in case any other cat tried to make it their home. Something happened to Spirit (white and black cat) outside last year. She came home with a limp and since then she has preferred our basement. Well, we have done an intervention. By summers end, she WILL like the outdoors, once again.

Oxford Pool in St. Paul with the cousins

We liked it so much we went back again. This time with cousins, Robbie, Elliott and Danny. Crystel is in the light blue swimsuit and Antonio in the back and white top. Crystel, Antonio and a not so good picture of Danny. They each took turns making the turtle spray.
Danny is in the blue black top on the left.
Antonio, Robbie and Elliott. Antonio is looking far too much like a teenager these days.
Danny in the water coming down, Crystel in front of him.
Danny
Elliott. Elliott is by far the BEST on the diving boards thus far.

And again Elliott.

Antonio's medals

A happier last place person in every event - form, sparring, and breaking a board could never be found. And look at that proud mother behind him. We are lucky to have such a child. He will know the meaning of fortitude.

Hit Him In The Head!

Antonio sparring at a tournament. As Uncle Scott said - "Here is something you thought

that you'd never tell your kid." Kicking someone in the head

is the way to score points in Tae Kwon Do. This was the best that we have ever

seen Antonio spar. He was very proud of his fourth place win. Do I need to tell

you that there were only three others sparring in his division?

How much is that doggie in the window?

Bandit Rose is wondering why I am outside and she's not.

Jody's family came to visit. In this picture her mom, her sister - Mary, and nephew Dustin.

Meet Josephina.

Everyone should lose four teeth and get an American Doll that looks just like them and wears the same clothes just like them. Meet Josephina. The tooth fairy originally made a mistake and brought home a doll from India. She had to return it for one that was more Hispanic looking. Fortunately the mistake was corrected prior to her drop off.
I'm just so happy! But I don't want to ever, ever, do it again - the smile says. I hope to have no more teeth pulled, ever.

Easter Games that I chose not to participate in.

The hold the stuffed animals between your legs and hop game. Happy Hoppers!
The walk with your egg on a spoon game.
The hold your ankle game.
Some of these I know I could of won. I just know it.

Tell Me It's Not So.

The Mom's lost. I lost by the most. Kids!
Antonio coloring paper Easter eggs.
Crystel and Jody creating a gift for someone.
BACKUGAN! I think.

Coloring Easter Eggs

Watching the magic take place.
Ah, they set to work. Look at Antonio's concentration. This takes some thinking.

Pictures say it all

At the start line. Ready, set, go.
Yeah! Champion Nose Egg Roller!

Can you find the Easter bunny in the picture?

Silly Bunny. No wonder my children no longer believe.

Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Indeed! The Easter baskets did fill. This is Crystel's. She didn't even mind that the bunny left her all 'boy' toys. Transformer puzzle, Transformers, Lego's and a car. Antonio found his basket mixed in with the Lego's.
Was there any chocolate? Any candy? Indeed there was.

High Hopes

The children have high hopes that in the place of Kitty and Dog there will be Easter eggs and toys come tomorrow morning. They understand that the Mom's fill and hide the baskets. What's next? Will the toothfairy and Santa lose their magic? Will there be no more stories of far away lands and castles?

Emily comes for a visit

Antonio, Emily and Crystel. I asked the kids if they remember where they first met. They didn't. I did. Emily and Crystel were in speech preschool together when they were 3, 4 and 5. Antonio.
Crystel.
Antonio chasing Emily. He often chases her.
