Jody got a Wii

Jody got a Wii for her birthday which is in May. She received it on Valentines Day. Antonio and Crystel like her Wii. They are playing Star Wars. We use it after school to wind down.
They think it's great that she got a Wii.
And can't wait for other games to play on it.

Concert

Antonio and Crystel at Richfield's District concert. Crystel in the white sweater and Antonio sitting behind her talking to a classmate. A lesson learned. Do not ever dress Crystel in a hooded sweater. She will use the hodd to hide herself.
As a parent it isn't good to jump on stage and take her sweater off.
So I don't. I don't even know where Antonio is. All I can see is Crystel with her hood on.
Oh there he is. Standing behind her. She has turned to see what he is doing and he is talking to a classmate. Do you see the pattern? He gets very high marks for having good relationships with the girls and boys in his class.

Jimmy Lee Rec Center

Jimmy Lee Rec Center in St. Paul has a great water park. At first we thought only Crystel was going to enjoy it. Several times Antonio walked up the steps to go down a tube slide and walked down again. Even though Crystel told him that it was very fun. A little fuzzy. Jody and Antonio coming down.
Thank gosh for Jody. She got in the water with them. After that Antonio was game to try.
And he was a happy boy. They stayed in the water for several hours. Running up and down the steps for the tunnel slide.
Crystel's head.
Walking up the steps without a mom. That was the best of all. Once Antonio was comfortable - he kept the lead. Crystel only has a short window to be leader.
Crystel shows Antonio how to do the diving board.
He got it. Though going off the side of the board isn't allowed.
They even did the log without a mom.

Danny's Birthday

Danny, Antonio and Crystel's cousin, turned six years old. Antonio and Danny have a bond. Antonio was coming home on the plane when Danny was born. It is easy to remember when Danny's birthday is. Crystel is usually the only girl at Danny's birthday parties. I tell her it is just like me - being born in the middle of seven boys. I tell her that she's lucky.
Going on a Pirate hunt. There is treasure buried in the neighborhood. Mike explaining to the kids that clues could be anywhere.
Even in a tree.
Danny opens up a Lego present.
Danny has liked Pirate birthdays so much! He had one last year when he was five.

The Race

Crystel is much faster with the crawl when a race is involved. Amazing.

Happy Birthday, Tia Anna!

Nothing ages us more than children. Some pictures in honor of Tia Anna's birthday!

Here are three video's of guppies emerging into butterflies. Almost. We aren't quite there. Almost. Maybe at the end of this summer. Either way you look at it - they are more transformed than I am.

Swim Class

Antonio, Crystel, and swim friend at Foss.
Here they do the Crawl - perhaps they have changed the name. It's been a few years for me.

Timberwolves Game

This is before the game. Mike and Sarah with their three boys. Jody and I with Antonio and Crystel.
Antonio and I ate our way through the game. That was the best.
Crystel took a picture of the girls dancing to High School Musical at halftime. That was the best for her.
OOOOps. Not a single picture of the Timberwolves. Really. We were there.

Antonio and Crystel and snow

Antonio is getting ready to choose the snow that he will eat. I kid you not. See.
I gave up last year talking to him about toxins, dirt, and other items that can be seen and unseen in the snow.
And look what happens. He is delightfully happy with each snowfall.
His sister also indulges but not every three feet like he does. I'm waiting until he turns Seven. That is the age of reason, isn't it?

There are some things that just have to be documented

Like - when ever Antonio mixes food. He has rice and meat in a soft taco. Now that's unusual!
